The Epic Saga of My Lost Piano Recording February 7, 2009

Earlier tonight, I decided to record a piano jam that had been in my head for a while. I recorded it, and ended up with a pretty sweet six minute, minimalist extravaganza. After that, I fell asleep for a while, and then I started burning incense in this room. I started watching the little beams of smoke rise up and twist around together before expanding and curling in multiple dimensions at once, criss-crossing and spinning around the little beams that had risen up before and dispersed. I started moving my hand through the smoke and watching the track behind it as it moved. While doing this, I was listening to my piano piece. It was beginning to build and build to the loudest, fastest part, and the smoke appear to be getting closer and spinning more furiously as it dispersed through the air and started looking even trippier. Then, all of a sudden, the power went out. It was completely dark and only a little orange glow came from the incense. Well, long story short, my entire 6 minute piano piece was erased because my computer had turned off (I had recorded it on GarageBand). Now, I guess I’m going to have to do it all over again. So lame, especially considering that I made most of it up as I went.
